The Pink Party

Spurred on by the wonderful collective efforts of the school mums who combined talents and eventually put Little Legs For Life in place, a simpler event was also born; the Pink Party for cancer research.

Using numerous local contacts and taking advantage of a number of favours, the CRUK Walton On Thames committee launched the first of these in December 2008, directly in this case, in memory of Sarah.

Along with the support from local band, The High Barnets, the use of Esher Rugby Club’s dining room and the talent of compere Gavin Pomfret, the inaugural Pink Party took place on December 18th 2008

With a combined menu of good food, music, raffle prizes and auctions, it managed to raise over £1200 for cancer research.

Due to its great popularity and support, this event is now held annually between October and December. Due to overwhelming support, the venue has now moved to Silvermere so as to accommodate ticket sales.

An evening that combines music, games, food, a little stupidity, laughter, but most of all raises much needed funds – and all because a few school mums made it happen and cared enough to get involved…..
